Japanese gardens and history

This is not intended to be an academic resource, it is rather an introduction
to a range of Japanese subjects which enthral me and I hope will interest you
All Japanese photographs were taken by myself during a visit in May 2000

	The History section gives a summary of the periods together with lists of both Japanese Emperors and Shoguns.		Gardens is the largest section and features noted examples with an emphasis on temple gardens. There is also material related to building your own Japanese style garden.
	In the Culture section you will find summaries of religion, clothing and general living in ancient Japan. There is also an introduction to the arts.		Visiting contains general travel information from the UK, together with comments and photos of some of the places I have visited.
