| Of all the gardens on my itinerary there are four
notable omissions here. The following explains why. |
Saiho-ji
Simply ran out of time to visit the famous
'Moss garden'. |
Joju-in (at Kiyomizu-dera)
This exquisitely designed small garden was,
for some reason, closed to visitors. |
Katsura Imperial Villa
A permit is required (I couldn't make the given
date), guided tour only and, I think,
photography is prohibited |
Sambo-in
A beautiful garden but photography was prohibited. |
